ALPINE QUESTS – TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR SELF-CATERED

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

To book – Winter or Summer Self-Catered in Chalet ‘AARON’ a deposit of 20%, is required to secure the booking. Deposits can be made via your bank, by Bank Transfer, The UK Post Office. Some prefer via: Wise.com formally known as TransferWise. The Balance must be settled in full 10 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. See your Booking Form for payment details. The Balance can be settled via your bank, by Bank Transfer, The UK Post Office. Some prefer via: Wise.com formally known as TransferWise. Bookings made within 10 weeks of your arrival are classed as last minute and are to be paid in full and before you arrive. 

ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to cancel your booking when the balance is not paid in full and by the due date, or before the due date. If this is the case the cancellation is made without refunding you any of the deposit. Payments made to ‘ALPINE QUESTS’ are paid into a business client account. Payments will remain there until the completion of your holiday. This ensures that your money will be refunded in the event of ‘ALPINE QUESTS’ becoming insolvent.

 

In addition to the price of the self-catered payment, a 3,000€ Euro’s ‘Caution’ is also to be paid. This ‘Caution’ is taken in case of damages & breakages by you and your party, plus any left rubbish and bottles, the dishwasher not emptied at your time of departure. This ‘Caution’ is held until checks have been made (please note thorough checks are done after your departure). If any damages, breakages, left rubbish, and bottles, or not emptied dishwasher are found after your departure, appropriate costs will be deducted.  You will be refunded after you stay. 

Your bank details will be required for all, or part of the ‘Caution’ refund. 

Chalet ‘AARON’ is a quality chalet and is rented at very cost-effective price. This cost does not include an end of stay cleaning charge. At the start of your holiday the Chalet is rented to you, clean and tidy. You must leave the chalet respectable and tidy. All items must be put back in their rightful place, the dishwasher empty and all rubbish and bottles disposed of. The end of stay clean is a compulsory additional fee at 350€ added to the accommodation fee.

On arrival day, the chalet is available from 16.30. On day of departure the chalets must be vacated by 09.30.

We will send to you a booking form and our terms and conditions. Please clearly fill in the booking form. The party leader (18 years and over) must read and complete the bottom of the Booking Form and the bottom of the T&C’s, agreeing to act on behalf of the other party members, taking responsibility to keep all other party members informed of all information relating to your booking.

OTHER PAYMENT/S

Payment/s for Self-Catered chalet ‘AARON’ is paid to ALPINE QUESTS in Euros. Any goods or extra services supplied by ALPINE QUESTS whilst in resort must be paid for in Euro’s cash.

BEHAVIOR & CONDUCT

The chalet and its facilities are only available for use, to the guests who have booked to stay in the chalet. Not for outsiders. All party members must behave responsibly, so as not to cause a nuisance to other people whilst on holiday with ALPINE QUESTS. Parents are expected to always supervise their children. It is forbidden to smoke in any parts of the self-catering chalet. ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to question any guests on this matter, if they suspect them to have smoked inside, appropriate action will be taken. It will be at the discretion of ALPINE QUESTS to terminate the holiday without written notice of people who indulge in serious misconduct. If any client/s wilfully, recklessly, or negligently damages any accommodation, any part of the chalet and its contents, other property, or person/s Alpine Quests will have no alternative but to terminate the remainder of their holiday, NO refund will be given. ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to make claims for any damage caused by the client and their party. No outdoor footwear to be worn inside any of self-catered chalet. NO pets allowed.

HOT TUB & SAUNA

ALPINE QUESTS accept no liability for personal injuries or accidents whilst using any of the chalet facilities.

Misuse of the hot tub while mean it will be shut down and out of action. Children under the age of 14 who wish to use the facilities MUST always be supervised by an adult (18 years and over).

End of stay clean is a compulsory fee of 350€

Towels can be hired: Per person, per set at 8€ per set (1 hand and 1 bath). Included when renting our linen.

Summer: Bed linen in summer can be hired – 25€ for singles &  45€ for doubles (towels included when renting linen). 

Winter: Bed linen and towels are included per person.

Cot and highchairs can be hired (not the cot bedding, please supply own).

Tourist Tax of €0.90 per day is also collected at the time of your Balance by Alpine Quests on behalf of the Châtel Mairie. Under 18’s are exempt.

CANCELLATION (by you)

If you wish to cancel your booking after we have accepted it, the person who signed the booking form (or made the booking) must send signed instructions immediately to

Cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your letter. If you cancel after we have confirmed your booking, we will take a ‘Cancellation Charge’ per person as shown below:

70 days or more before travel: Loss of full deposit
69 – 63 days before travel: 50% of total booking price
62 – 49 days before travel: 70% of total booking price
48 – 29 days before travel: 80% of total booking price
28 – 15 days before travel: 90% of total booking price
14 – 0 days before travel: 100% of total booking price

These charges reflect our estimated loss as a result of dealing with your booking, to the point of cancellation and any other losses we may have to pay. If you wish to change your booking, we will do our up most to fit another date to suit you. If the amended date is a lesser price ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to retain the higher price booking fee. If the price is higher, we will require the extra fee prior to your holiday. If this is not agreed ALPINE QUESTS will follow the ‘Cancellation Charge’ shown above.

COVID-19

These charges reflect our estimated loss as a result of dealing with your booking, to the point of cancellation and any other losses we may have to pay. If you wish to change your booking, we will do our up most to fit another date to suit you. If the amended date is a lesser price ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to retain the higher price booking fee. If the price is higher, we will require the extra fee prior to your holiday. If this is not agreed ALPINE QUESTS will follow the ‘Cancellation Charge’ shown above.

COVID-19

If the French government and your country’s government close the boarders between France and your country due to non-essential travel, at the time of your holiday start date, then we will refund your money in full, minus an administration charge per person of 50€ Euros.

If the French government close the boarders between France and your country whilst you are on your holiday and you are ordered to return to your county, then you will be reimbursed you for any full days left of your holiday, on a prorate basis, minus an administration charge per person of 50€ Euros. 

If at the time of your holiday the resort is closed because of Covid-19, you will be reimbursed for any full days left of your holiday, on a prorate basis, minus an administration charge per person of 50€ Euros.

If the French Government imposes quarantine in France at the time of your holiday start date, you will again be reimbursed for any full days lost, minus an administration charge per person of 50€ Euros.

If your government impose quarantine on your return to your home country, you will not be refunded.

If you catch Covid or test positive before you holiday date and can’t travel, you will not be refunded, you will need to consult your insurance.

INSURANCE AND TRAVEL

ALPINE QUESTS recommend you take out adequate insurance cover well before your travel date. Holiday/Travel/Medical/Winter/Summer sports insurance is, essential.  You need to ensure that your cover takes effect prior to your travel date and covers the full holiday period. ALPINE QUESTS do not supply insurance cover.

A valid insurance, passport and/or visas are the client’s responsibility. ALPINE QUESTS will not except any responsibility for clients travel arrangements, road hold ups, road diversions, clients personal wellbeing, possessions, hired equipment, lost lift passes, any booked lessons, booked trips, adverse weather conditions, avalanche, landslides, floods, volcanic disruption, too little or too much snow, war, riots, civil action, strikes, terrorism, fire, industrial disputes, global/world disruption, any technical problems or events taking place or happening/happened beyond their control. ALPINE QUESTS will not pay compensation.
