ALPINE QUESTS – TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR CATERED & SELF-CATERED

Due to Covid-19 some of our terms and conditions may change according with Government regulations. Please enquire at the time of your booking.

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

To book – Winter Catered Chalet ‘AARON’ a deposit of 150€ Euros per person, is required to secure the booking. Deposits can be made by Bank Transfer, Visa, Visa Debit or MasterCard and can be phoned through to ALPINE QUESTS. The Balance must be settled in full 10 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. See your Booking Form for payment details for Bank Transfer via your bank. The Balance can be settled by Bank Transfer, Visa, Visa Debit or MasterCard. Bookings made within 10 weeks of your arrival (last minute), are to be paid in full and before you arrive. Single room supplement is 150€ Euros (two rooms maximum), for New Year/Half Term full per person rate. ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to cancel your booking if the balance is not paid in full and by the due date. The cancellation is without refund of any of the deposit. Payments made to ‘ALPINE QUESTS’ are paid into a business client account. Payments will remain there until the completion of your holiday. This ensures that your money will be refunded in the event of ‘ALPINE QUESTS’ becoming insolvent.

To book – Summer Self-Catered Chalet ‘AARON’ a deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking. The balance must be settled in full 10 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. See your Booking Form for payment details and details for Bank Transfer via your bank. The Balance can be settled by Visa, Visa Debit or MasterCard. Bookings made within 10 weeks of your arrival (last minute), are to be paid in full.  ** In addition, a 2500€ Euros ‘Caution’ payment will be required upon your arrival at the chalet. This ‘Caution’ is taken in case of damages, breakages, left rubbish and bottles, the dishwasher not emptied. This ‘Caution’ is taken as Visa, Visa Debit or MasterCard details and held in a safe until checks have been made (please note thorough checks are done after your departure). If any damages, breakages, left rubbish and bottles, or not emptied dishwasher are found after your departure, appropriate costs will be deducted from your card details.  You will be notified by email with an attached receipt outlining any costs. When we are happy with everything your card details will be destroyed, less deductions, if any.

Chalet ‘AARON’ is a quality chalet and is rented at very cost-effective price. This cost does not include an cleaning charge. At the start of your holiday the Chalet is rented to you, clean and tidy. You must leave the chalet respectable and tidy. All items must be put back in their rightful place, the dishwasher empty and all rubbish and bottles disposed of. The end of stay clean is a compulsory additional fee from 300€, which is only payable in resort.

We will send to you a booking form and our terms and conditions. Please clearly fill in the booking form. The party leader (18 years and over) must read and complete the bottom of the Booking Form and the bottom of the T&C, agreeing to act on behalf of the other party members, taking responsibility to keep all other party members informed of all information relating to your booking.

CURRENCY/EXCHANGE RATE

Payments for Catered & Self-Catered chalet ‘AARON’ is paid to ALPINE QUESTS in Euros and will be calculated at the rate of exchange, on the day of the transaction. (The quotes in Pounds Stirling on our web page are for guidance purposes only). Please note that prices quoted throughout in Euros may change, due to exchange rate fluctuation. Any goods or extra services supplied by ALPINE QUESTS whilst in resort must be paid for in Euros cash.

GENEVA AIRPORT TRANSFERS (Winter & Summer)

On arrival day, the chalet is available from 16.30. On day of departure the chalets must be vacated by 09.30.

GENEVA AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Flight Arrivals – When arriving at Geneva Airport, after collecting your luggage, the journey to Chatel is approx. 1.5 hours.

Flight Departures – When departing your accommodation, the return transfer departs around 4 – 5 hours, before your flight time.

NOTE: If your flight/s are delayed, cancelled or moved to another time or day and ALPINE QUESTS needs to re-schedule or bring in a third party on your behalf, all transfers will incur an additional charge to the client and the funds will be collected by Alpine Quests from you in resort (payment is in Euros). It is the client’s responsibility to notify Alpine Quests of ALL the flight details, the number of passengers and of all passenger names, and number of children/babies (plus their ages). Babies, infants and children are also charged for transfers. ALPINE QUESTS have some booster seats and baby seats (not rear facing). All passenger seats must be booked well in advance.

When there is more than one flight per group arriving, and departing out of Geneva Airport, ALL flight details are required for ALL flights, including the names and number of people on each flight.

The client is responsible for notifying Alpine Quests, which Geneva Airport Terminal the flight/s arrive and depart at/from.

Transfers for arrival & departure: You will be notified in an email of your collection time (normally within the week before your holiday). Whilst on your holiday, you will be notified of your departure time from your accommodation.

Shared Transfers: Arrivals transfers and departures transfers will fit with Alpine Quests schedule. Arrival waiting time could be up to 1 hour approximately. You will be notified of the time of your departure, which could be between 4 to 5 hours before your flight time. Shared transfers are with other clients from other accommodations.

Private Transfers: You will be collected at the time you arrive. You will be notified of the time of your departure, which could be between 4 to 5 hours before your flight time.

NON-Geneva transfers: All non-Geneva transfers will be charged accordingly and based on information given to Alpine Quests, by the client.

Luggage (Cases) & Equipment: The client is to inform Alpine Quests of all luggage (cases) and additional equipment (snowboard bags/ski bags).

Parents travelling with babies/infants MUST notify Alpine Quests if, there is a need for ‘Baby/infant’ seat. Parents must bring their baby/infant seat, if you’re not happy with what Alpine Quests may provide.

ALPINE QUESTS will not except any responsibility for guests travel arrangements, road hold ups, road diversions, adverse weather conditions, avalanche, landslides, floods, volcanic disruption, snow on the roads, war, riots, civil action, strikes, terrorism, fire, industrial disputes, any vehicle technical problems or events taking place or happened beyond their control. ALPINE QUESTS will not pay compensation. It is the client’s responsibility to take adequate travel insurance.

BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT

The chalet and its facilities are only available for use, to the guests who have booked to stay in the chalet. Not for outsiders. All party members must behave responsibly, so as not to cause a nuisance to other people whilst on holiday with ALPINE QUESTS. Parents are expected to supervise their children at all times. ALPINE QUESTS do not operate a babysitting service. Self-catering is not permitted in the catered chalets at any time. It is forbidden to smoke in any part of the chalet or a self-catering chalet. ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to question any guests on this matter, if they suspect them to have smoked inside, appropriate action will be taken. It will be at the discretion of ALPINE QUESTS to terminate the holiday without written notice of people who indulge in serious misconduct. If any client/s willfully, recklessly or negligently damages any accommodation, any part of the chalet and its contents, other property, or person/s Alpine Quests will have no alternative but to terminate the remainder of their holiday holiday, NO refund will apply. ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to make claims for any damage caused. No outdoor footwear to be worn inside the any of the catered chalet or self-catered chalets. No pets allowed in any of the catered or self-catered chalets.

FOOD (Catered)

Two evenings in the week all guests will be required to eat out at a restaurant, to be paid for by the client (not Alpine Quests). Self-catering on these nights or bringing in food is not permitted in the chalet. Guests  are not permitted to enter or use the chalet kitchen/facilities. We can recommend restaurants and reserve these for you. Guests are NOT permitted to enter the kitchen other than for water. Meals are provided at set times and at no time are guests to use the kitchen facilities to make snacks or prepare food for themselves or others. Children’s meals are 2 courses, served at an earlier time to the adults. Their meals will be different to those served to adults unless special arrangements have been made at the time of booking. If, Children are to eat adult meals a child/teen price will be increased. Catered guests arriving at the chalet after 20.00 hours and before 21.00 on arrival day will be served ‘Homemade’ soup and dessert and after 21.00 a sandwich will be prepared (not the 3-course meal). People with food allergies and those who need ‘Specialist Foods’ must inform us at the time of booking and though we will try to accommodate you, it may not be possible to obtain ‘Specialist Foods/Produce’ you require, therefore, we strongly advice that you bring items that you need. We do not cater for Vegan, Kosher & Halal diets. If a guest is unable to leave the chalet due to an injury, a sandwich can be purchased in the morning from a member of staff.

HOT TUB & SAUNA

ALPINE QUESTS accept no liability for personal injuries or accidents whilst using these facilities. The hot tub will be available until 20.00 hrs. and the sauna will be available between 16-00 hrs and 20-00 hrs. Children under the age of 14 who wish to use the facilities MUST always be supervised by an adult (18 years and over). The games room is always available; however, noise levels must be respected after 23-00 hrs. Adults must not leave unsupervised children. ANY guests wishing to use other facilities outside of the chalet (e.g: swimming pool/gym/massage), MUST bring their own towels from home.

WINTER SKI PASSES & SUMMER MULTI PASS

We can book your winter ski passes, so no queuing or time wasting. Enter your requirements on the booking form. The pre-booked ski passes can be paid by credit card or Euros cash within resort. Summer MultiPass is by voucher through Alpine Quests. Alpine Quests holds no responsibility for price increases on any passes or loss of any passes.

SKI HIRE

ALPINE QUESTS are teamed up with SkiHire2U.com who are mobile, delivering quality equipment and service direct to you at the chalet. No waiting in busy shop queues. All the fitting is done in the comfort of the chalet by using SkiHire2U. It is that simple Select your equipment on-line at SkiHire2u.com Equipment delivered to our chalet. when a time suits you. English speaking & highly trained staff giving a pleasant fitting experience, 7 days a week SkiHire2u offer return chalet visits 07.30 – 22.30 if you need or want to change anything. Collection of all equipment from the chalet at the end of your holiday. All equipment is maintained by high quality technology. Tourist Tax is charged in resort at 0.90€ Euros per adult, per day (18 years + inclusive Example -7 nights = 6.30€). This fee is NOT included in the cost of your holiday. Payment is collected in resort. You have the option to pay by Euros cash, or card.

SELF- CATERED CHALET ‘AARON’ (Available in Summer, paid in Euros)

CANCELLATION (by you)

If you wish to cancel your booking after we have accepted it, the person who signed the booking form (or made the booking) must send signed instructions immediately to

Cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your letter. If you cancel after we have confirmed your booking, we will take a ‘Cancellation Charge’ per person as shown below:

70 days or more before travel: Loss of full deposit
69 – 63 days before travel: 50% of total booking price
62 – 49 days before travel: 70% of total booking price
48 – 29 days before travel: 80% of total booking price
28 – 15 days before travel: 90% of total booking price
14 – 0 days before travel: 100% of total booking price

These charges reflect our estimated loss as a result of dealing with your booking, to the point of cancellation and any other losses we may have to pay. If you wish to change your booking, we will do our up most to fit another date to suit you. If the amended date is a lesser price ALPINE QUESTS reserve the right to retain the higher price booking fee. If the price is higher, we will require the extra fee prior to your holiday. If this is not agreed ALPINE QUESTS will follow the ‘Cancellation Charge’ shown above.

INSURANCE AND TRAVEL

ALPINE QUESTS recommend you take out adequate insurance cover well before your travel date. Holiday/Travel/Medical/Winter/Summer sports insurance is, essential.  You need to ensure that your cover takes effect prior to your travel date and covers the full holiday period. ALPINE QUESTS do not supply insurance cover.

A valid insurance, passport and/or visas are the guest’s responsibility. ALPINE QUESTS will not except any responsibility for guests travel arrangements, road hold ups, road diversions, guest’s personal well being, possessions, hired equipment, lost lift passes, any booked lessons, booked trips, adverse weather conditions, avalanche, landslides, floods, volcanic disruption, too little or too much snow, war, riots, civil action, strikes, terrorism, fire, industrial disputes, global/world disruption, any technical problems or events taking place or happening/happened beyond their control. ALPINE QUESTS will not pay compensation.

CARD PAYMENTS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This facility is provided by the French branch of SARL Alpine Quests, which means that the transaction will be charged in Euros. The rate charged will be that shown by the currency converter website at the time the charge is made. PLEASE NOTE YOU MAY BE CHARGED AN FX FEE BY YOUR CARD PROVIDER FOR USING YOUR CARD ABROAD. THE FEE WILL BE BUILT INTO THE RATE YOUR CARD PROVIDER CHARGES. PLEASE CHECK THE BACK OF YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT FOR FULL DETAILS. If the amount charged to your credit card in Sterling is different to the amount quoted in the booking confirmation, the difference must be absorbed by you the client.
